A Little Bit of Love (Sew Easy Project)
Cards made using the "Love" stitch on the Sew Easy. The funny thing is I originally wasn't sure I even wanted this stitch head (it was my least favorite of the new ones). I'm sure glad I have it now though - otherwise I wouldn't have been able to make these:

The Sew Easy Project
It's safe to say that the We R Memory Keepers 'Sew Easy' tool is one of my favorite scrapbooking gizmos. It allows you to stitch on paper without the fuss of a sewing machine. I got the case and most of the new piercing heads for my birthday back in April (thanks mom!) and an idea came to me. For this project, my goal is to see how many different card ideas I can come up with using as many of the possible stitches as I can. Here's a few I've done so far:

Parliament of Owls
Usually, when I start drawing one type of character, I end up on something of a frenzy - creating lots of them.
My latest obsession - owls.
I didn't revisit the owls until recently, when I started doing silversmithing.
I went looking around on Etsy for ideas and found an artist named VernonBea who had several cool ones in her shop. Click here to visit VernonBea's shop.
Anyway, I found my inspiration. Hoot was my first attempt at an owl:

Next, once I got some thicker silver plate, I made these guys:

Then, at the covered bridge festival, I found this adorable water bottle carrier and tissue snuggie from ~forevermore~. Well, it's actually the fabric that's adorable:
I asked the artist, Alisha, if she could make me a purse from the same fabric, but she wasn't sure she could get anymore. So I started looking online for the fabric (with no success), but while I was searching I kept running across all these adorable stuffed owls. I started sketching some more owls:

And then I decided to make one of my own.
Meet Milo:
: )
More owls coming soon!
